Josh Watson

There has been so much talk about all of the other linebackers on the Broncos’ roster that people seem to be forgetting about 2019 undrafted free agent Josh Watson out of Colorado State.

Although he didn’t take a snap defensively, Watson played almost a third of the Broncos’ special teams snaps despite playing in only eight games.

Watson has plus athleticism at the linebacker position, ideal size, and there’s upside here for him to become something more than just a special teams contributor.

The Broncos obviously think highly enough of him to keep him around on last year’s roster, which was pretty full at the linebacker position.

Heading into year two in Vic Fangio’s scheme, don’t be surprised if Watson is able to overtake someone else on the roster and win a more prominent role in 2020 and beyond.
