Denver Broncos: 5 UDFAs with the best chance to make the roster
Five undrafted free agents who could make the Denver Broncos in 2020.
Making the Denver Broncos’ roster in 2020 is going to be hard.
The Denver Broncos had 10 picks in the 2020 NFL Draft and they kept all of them, and they already had a roster full of young players anyway.
This team has a rich, proud tradition of finding and developing undrafted talent, and if someone makes the roster as a UDFA in 2020, they are going to have to earn it.
The Broncos didn’t have a massive UDFA class in 2020 mainly because they kept all their 2020 draft picks, but here is the list of undrafted players competing for roster spots:
- QB Riley Neal
- RB LeVante Bellamy
- WR Kendall Hinton
- WR Zimari Manning
- OT Hunter Watts
- CB Essang Bassey
- S Douglas Coleman
Some of these players are entering tougher situations than others. Even though the Broncos have a young, inexperienced roster, draft hierarchy does play somewhat of a role in determining which guys make the team, but undrafted players can easily beat out late-round picks like we saw in 2018 when undrafted Phillip Lindsay beat out David Williams for a roster spot and even wound up starting over third-round pick Royce Freeman.
The best players will play, and this thin undrafted class still has players who can make the final roster and make an impact in 2020.
Which five guys have the best shot?
