Adam Rank has changed his tune on the Denver Broncos from last season.

Remember last season when NFL Network’s Adam Rank predicted the Broncos to go a horrid 2-14 for the 2019 season? Yeah, I know fans will never forget that. Which is why I am certain some were groaning when the predictions came out again.

But it appears as if Rank had a change of heart for this season’s Broncos team. He has provided his full 32-team predictions for the 2020 season. So, how does Denver fare after the 2-14 prediction last year?

Rank actually has high praise for them this year. This season, Denver has a pretty favorable schedule. What I have seen the most is around the middle of the pack as far as predictions go. Most of what I have seen is 8-8 or 9-7. Some have the Broncos barely missing the playoffs or making it as the sixth or seventh seed.

Adam Rank believes the Broncos can be a second seed in the 2020 postseason.

However, Adam Rank has the Broncos finishing 11-5, which in his predictions is good for the second overall seed in the AFC playoffs. The record is also enough to win the AFC West title. Rank has very high praise for Drew Lock.

That kind of prediction would be exciting. But I am approaching that prediction as cautiously optimistic. It would be amazing if Denver was already at the point of competing for the AFC West. Winning it would put them pretty well ahead of the clock.

Rank has the reasoning that the Broncos used the draft to help compete with the Kansas City Chiefs and that the new weapons on offense should help. He also mentions they could be hungry to be competitive this year. That I will agree with. Seeing a divisional opponent win the Super Bowl is more than enough reason to be hungry to keep them from catching up.

I am a fan of this prediction. Let us hope that it comes as close to fruition as possible.
