Denver Broncos: 4 players with the most to prove in 2020
Garett Bolles
Garett Bolles has become the biggest punchline on the Broncos’ roster, but let’s drop the “Garett Holds” nickname now and trust that this will be the year he proves everyone wrong.
It might be tough to get behind that idea due to his first three years in the league, namely the amount of penalties he draws.
Bolles is flagged far too often, there is no doubt about that, but there is also no doubt that with Lock in at quarterback last year, the mobility that allowed him to move around in the pocket made Bolles look like a much different player.
There has to be hope that can continue to be the case, right?
The Broncos showed confidence in Bolles by not drafting a tackle or bringing one in during free agency. As I already talked about, Elijah Wilkinson is not taking his job.
Bolles is playing for a new contract this year, whether that be in Denver or elsewhere. He should have all the motivation in the world to not only put his penalty problem behind him but to also prove he can be the dominant left tackle the team drafted him to be.
Bolles has as much to prove as just about anyone in the league.
How will each of these guys do in 2020?
In many of these situations, 2020 will be a make or break year. If the Broncos have a successful season, some of these players will be integral to that happening.
