Elvis Dumervil

The story of Elvis Dumervil in Denver did not end the way anybody would have imagined. Due to a devastating fax machine incident, Dumervil became a free agent following the 2012 season.

Dumervil was a stud at outside linebacker and defensive end. He finished his career with 105.5 sacks, including 57 with the Broncos.

The former fourth-round pick of the Broncos in 2006 had four separate seasons with at least ten sacks, including two 17-sack seasons.

Unfortunately, Dumervil was on some teams that just underperformed.

In 2018, we listed Dumervil as the 28th-best player of all-time for the Broncos out of 30.

It hurts to realize that he and Von Miller got to play just two seasons together. I understand the Broncos signed DeMarcus Ware during the 2014 free agency, but can you imagine a roster that has Miller, Dumervil and Ware? That defense in 2014 was phenomenal. It would have been fun to see Dumervil win a title in Denver.
