Reserve candidates

Patrick Morris: Undrafted out of TCU in 2018, Morris began his career with the Pittsburgh Steelers where he was able to work with Mike Munchak, the Broncos’ current offensive line coach. He has played in two games in his career.

Jake Rodgers: Rodgers has had a well-traveled NFL career after being selected by the Atlanta Falcons in the seventh round of the 2015 NFL draft. The Broncos are his ninth, yes ninth, NFL team. With the previous eight teams, he never played in one game. Last season in Denver, he suited up for 14 games and made one start.

Austin Schlottmann: Like Morris, Schlottmann played at TCU and went undrafted in 2018. He spent his rookie season on the Broncos’ practice squad but made the team in 2019 and was the starting guard for the final four games of the regular season.

Elijah Wilkinson: Wilkinson has filled the role of the team’s top swing tackle after spending the last three seasons in Denver, starting in 19 games over that time. He figures to hold onto that role in 2020.

Calvin Anderson: One of the lesser-known names on the Broncos’ roster, Anderson was signed off the practice squad of the New York Jets last season. He is a player worth monitoring the summer, as his potential is evident.

Hunter Watts: An undrafted player out of Central Arkansas, Watts is likely playing for a spot on the practice squad. For more on him, take a look at this undrafted rookie spotlight.

Tyler Jones: Jones spent some time in Denver’s system last season and was signed to a futures contract following the season. His chances of making the team are slim.

Nico Falah: Another player the Broncos at one point plucked off the practice squad of the Jets, Falah missed all of last season after tearing his Achilles in May.

Netane Muti: A player who could eventually be a starter for the Broncos, Muti has battled a plethora of injuries during his playing career. But the sixth-round pick will prove to be a steal if he can stay healthy.

Quinn Bailey: An undrafted free agent out of Arizona State, Bailey did enough to make the team’s practice squad last season before being promoted to the active roster for one game toward the end of the season.
