RB Josh Jacobs

The Broncos already added Melvin Gordon from the Chargers this offseason, but why not go a step further and add another running back from the division?

Josh Jacobs instantly became a 1,000-yard running back for the Raiders in his first NFL season. In fact, he went even further, rushing for 1,150 yards. He scored seven rushing touchdowns. Jacobs also averaged 4.8 yards per carry in his first year.

All of that while missing three games. Crazy, right?

One of the most important things the Broncos could do at running back, in my opinion, is to add guys who all could contribute to the team going forward. They have Royce Freeman, who I don’t expect to have much of an impact with Gordon and Phillip Lindsay on the roster.

Lindsay was expected to be the top running back when he won the job as a free agent out of Colorado, but the addition of Gordon changed that. Now they will split carries, which is not a bad thing, as it will likely allow the Colorado kid to live out a longer NFL career.

The running back position is a very strong one in the AFC West. It would be a lot of fun to see yet another one head to Denver.
