Las Vegas Raiders

2020 AFC West Record Prediction: 3-3

The Las Vegas (formerly Oakland) Raiders have completely re-branded with a brand new city and a brand new stadium. The expectations and pressure for this team to play well in 2020 is high and will only keep mounting as we approach the beginning of the season.

The Raiders and Broncos were neck and neck for the second-place finish in the West in 2019, with the Broncos (or Shelby Harris) literally batting their chances away in the regular-season finale.

The Raiders, like the Broncos, should be a better team in 2020, and I predict they will boast a matching in-division record. Here are the games they could lose:

October 11 @ Chiefs

November 22 vs. Chiefs

January 3rd @ Broncos

Arrowhead is a brutal place to play, and this could be a rough go for the Raiders. In fact, it would not be surprising if no AFC West team gets a win at Arrowhead this season. However, there is a chance the Raiders give the Chiefs a run for their money when they meet in Vegas, for a closer game, if nothing less.

For the second year in a row, the Broncos and Raiders will meet for the regular-season finale. Hopefully, this game has bigger implications than it did in 2020. Once again, it could be for second place in the AFC West, but this year, there could be a Wild Card spot riding on the end result.

Luckily for the Broncos, this game is in Denver, and Broncos Country goes full blast when the Raiders come to town.
