3. Kansas City Chiefs are still number one.

The Chiefs have been the AFC West winner every year for the last four years. The Broncos were the last AFC West winner not named the Chiefs. That year, in 2015, the Broncos won the Super Bowl.

So, unfortunately, the Chiefs have been and will be the team to beat in the division for years to come.

The good news for the Broncos is that any team can win a football game any week. Sure, it will take a lot more to defeat a team that has a quarterback such as Patrick Mahomes, but with the additions the Broncos made on offense this offseason, a well as cornerback and defensive line, the Chiefs and Mahomes could be beatable.

Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce will be problematic as long as they are with the Chiefs and Mahomes. The Broncos drafted Jerry Jeudy, K.J. Hamler, and Tyrie Cleveland to try to match up with Kansas City’s explosive offense. They also added Melvin Gordon into the mix at running back.

Denver does not face the Chiefs until late October. They will have six games prior to that matchup, so hopefully, they can stay healthy and improve throughout the year.
