Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton made the NFL.com all-under 25 team.

You can add another accomplishment to Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton’s young career in the NFL.

Marc Sessler of NFL.com created a team of players under the age of 25 years old this week, and Sutton was listed as one of the two wide receivers on the squad. The other one being Chris Godwin of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Sutton was the star of the Broncos offense in 2019, catching 72 passes for 1,112 yards and six touchdowns. He did all of that while having three different guys at the quarterback position: Joe Flacco (8 games), Brandon Allen (3 games), and Drew Lock (5 games). Doing that with one quarterback isn’t necessarily an easy thing to do. Doing it with three is unreal.

He had just two 100-plus-yard games in 2019, but was targeted 125 times, but was targeted 40 times in the last five games.

Courtland Sutton highlights

Sutton making this list is really cool. Oftentimes it seems like players on the Broncos are overlooked. But this is not the first time somebody has noticed Sutton’s game, as Joe Haden of the Steelers mentioned him a couple of months ago.

The Broncos added some firepower to their receiver position by drafting Jerry Jeudy, K.J. Hamler, and Tyrie Cleveland in this year’s NFL Draft. I am excited to see the impact these players make on Sutton. The arrival of them should help open up some more opportunities for their number one receiver in the future.

The fact that he is just 24-years old (25 in October) and was able to record his first 1,000-plus-yard season in just his second year in the league is awesome. He has made some difficult catches already in his career and I am confident that he can make many more if he had to.

Now Sutton will head into the 2020 season with a pretty neat accomplishment, but the ultimate goal is the team goal: win a championship. Win the Super Bowl.
