Joe Flacco – Week 4 at New York Jets

Now, this is news that has just recently been revealed. After a disastrous 2-6 starting record for the Broncos, he was placed on injured reserve with an injured neck. That would lead to two other starting quarterbacks before the Broncos decided that Drew Lock could take the keys to the Ferrari.

Two months after his release from the Broncos, the Jets brought him on board. And now, pending his recovery from the neck injury that ended his season, he will be on the opposing sideline backing up Sam Darnold. I am uncertain if he ends up seeing the field by the time these two teams face off. It will really come down to the injury standpoint.

It truly is a shame that Joe Flacco did not end up working out in the long run. But I believe, with the Broncos drafting Drew Lock in last year’s draft, that Flacco was likely not going to stay in Denver for long.

It is also really disappointing that a former Super Bowl MVP quarterback could not get the job done. But that is the way of life. At least in the football world that is. But, if not for everything, the Broncos might not have been able to get an idea of what Drew Lock could bring to the table.

Let us see how the reunion goes after a bitter end to the year.
