Paxton Lynch – Week 2 at Pittsburgh Steelers

When Peyton Manning announced his retirement, the Broncos were set on having Brock Osweiler take the reigns. That was until he decided to jump ship to Houston in an unexpected move. One of which he would regret later on.

However, the Broncos needed to find a quarterback. With Trevor Siemian as the only quarterback remaining, the team traded for Mark Sanchez and then would trade up in the first round with Seattle in the 2016 NFL Draft to go get Paxton Lynch.

Unfortunately, the move did not work out for the Broncos as Lynch was out of Denver in just two seasons. He would find himself out of the league during the 2018 season before joining the Seattle Seahawks. He would get some revenge in a preseason game last season.

Now he is with the Steelers. However, it is very unlikely the Broncos see him on the field. Ben Roethlisberger will enter the season as the starter. It is uncertain if Lynch will be on the opening day roster.

If he is there in week two, when the Broncos face the Steelers, it should be an interesting reunion of sort.
