Extend Justin Simmons… ASAP.

Justin Simmons is a cornerstone for the Denver Broncos and will be with the team for quite some time. Now that the dust has settled with free agency, the Broncos can address one of the team’s best players.

Simmons was an All-Pro in 2019 and should be even better for the team. With cap space to spare now and in the future, the Broncos can afford to pay Simmons what he is worth. Doing so will go along way to show played that the team rewards their own.

The Broncos have had a recent history of not paying their players (Matt Paradis, Connor McGovern, Malik Jackson, etc.). Paying a man who has been impactful in every facet is a necessary move.

Getting a deal done with Simmons now also helps set the team’s cap situation for the following years when extensions with Courtland Sutton and Bradley Chubb are up next.

Next. Who makes the Broncos roster at outside linebacker?. dark

If the Broncos can adequately address these remaining concerns, they’ll be ready to compete with just about anyone in 2020.
