Broncos news: Peyton Manning highlights from charity golf event.
Former Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning is always a great source of Broncos news, or at least Broncos-related news. Even though he doesn’t don the orange and blue every Sunday anymore, Manning is still must-see TV for every Denver Broncos fan and anytime he’s given free reign over a microphone with the opportunity to talk trash to Tom Brady?
We’re in.
In case there was any doubt, the duo of Peyton Manning and Tiger Woods ended up winning the charity golf event, which raised $20 million for COVID-19 relief efforts.
This was truly an astounding effort by everyone involved and a great source of fun and entertainment for everyone who was able to watch.
Manning channels his inner Sunday Tiger
Although Manning has only been retired for four years, he’s managed to find plenty of time to perfect his short game.
Either that, or he channeled his inner Sunday Tiger Woods for this birdie on a par 3 with a perfect tee shot and long putt.
Let the trash-talking of Tom Brady never end
Manning is one of the best ‘roasters’ in all of pro sports, perhaps in all of entertainment. He has an acute ability to know exactly what lines to cross and when and how to talk trash.
Here, he talks about bringing Eli Manning and Nick Foles — quarterbacks who beat Tom Brady in the Super Bowl — as his caddy while he says Brady should have brought Rob Gronkowski, because Gronk will just do whatever Brady says.
Here are some more highlights from the trash-talking festivities throughout the match.

Tom Brady’s remarkable shot
It’s impossible not to be impressed by this shot from Tom Brady. Even though this eagle didn’t help them to victory, Brady’s shot was the best of the day by any of the athletes.
The fun was short-lived, however, as Brady ripped his pants pulling the ball of his triumphant shot from the hole.

Manning takes and delivers some SEC jabs
Brady gave Manning some grief about the Tennessee program not being any good since he left, which was after the 1997 season. As tough as that is for Tennessee Volunteer fans to hear, how accurate is it?
Peyton would not be denied the opportunity to get in his own SEC jabs, however.
Peyton said he couldn’t wear Tiger’s traditional Sunday red and black colors not only because it would make him sick, but because he wasn’t going to let Georgia head coach Kirby Smart get any shots of him wearing rival colors to post all over social media.
Overall, this event was a tremendous success. Brady and Manning got together for a great heart-to-heart in the ESPN special Peyton’s Places a while back, and that was entertaining enough but to get these two in a competition where they are mic’d up and openly taking jabs at each other? With Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson joining the fun, as well as Charles Barkley who was helping call the event?
That’s just great content.
