Jeremiah Attaochu

Over the course of the 2019 season, Jeremiah Attaochu went from unimpressive to head coach Vic Fangio to winning him over.

Attaochu received a one-year, $1.5 million contract offer from the Broncos this offseason, and he might just be the top backup to either Von Miller or Bradley Chubb. With just $500,000 in guaranteed money, however, Attaochu is no lock for the roster.

He’s going to have to prove that he can again be a disruptive presence off the edge as he was down the stretch in 2019.

He started five games for the Broncos and racked up 3.5 sacks, five tackles for loss, 10 pressures, and five QB hits.

A former second-round pick of the San Diego Chargers, Attaochu has struggled with injuries throughout his NFL career. Perhaps that’s why the Broncos gave him a lower guarantee based on his 2019 performance, but either way, the team is getting a good value to try him out again this offseason.

Attaochu just turned 27 in January, so perhaps as he enters his prime his best football is yet ahead of him.
