Why are the Broncos holding onto their remaining $17 million in cap space like grim death?

A misconception about the Denver Broncos is that they have not made significant moves during this offseason. That’s not necessarily true, though.

They added Melvin Gordon and Graham Glasgow to an offense that is already filled with youth, and they were able to do it without breaking the bank.

The Broncos are still going to have to sign their rookie class. That will take up no more than $9 million. I just think that the top free agents are not in the team’s plans.

It’s also important to remember that the Broncos filled a bunch of needs with their ten draft picks in April’s draft, with the additions of three wide receivers, and depth at cornerback, offensive line, linebacker, and cornerback.

The Broncos were rumored to have been interested in former Chicago Bears cornerback Prince Amukamara, but he just signed with the Las Vegas Raiders.

While we won’t see a free agency class as we did in 2014, this team is still very strong with the young draft picks that are headed to Denver.
