What are your thoughts on the Broncos’ left tackle situation? Sign a veteran closer to camp or rolling with Bolles and address next year?

While Garett Bolles was not as bad as many people think during the later part of the 2019 season, the Broncos decided to decline his option, making him a free agent after the 2020 season. That alone is not a very good sign for him returning on a short-term deal and for less money. And to be a backup.
The Broncos are going to explore a competition between Bolles and Elijah Wilkinson for the left tackle position for 2020, so even though Bolles is still on the team, he may spend his final season in Denver as a reserve left tackle.
There are going to be opportunities in the 2021 NFL Draft to find the franchise left tackle that they have been looking for since Ryan Clady.
It is also worth noting that the Broncos are reportedly interested in acquiring Jason Peters from the Philadelphia Eagles. While doing that isn’t technically a long-term solution, it could be their saving grace. We no longer would have to hear the dreaded words, “Holding, Offense, No. 72”.
