Is this already a make or break year for Vic Fangio? How much time do you think he has to make something happen for the Broncos?

SJ from New Jersey

I’m not a fan of writing off a coach within four or five years, let alone after one. So the short answer to this is no.

It would maybe be different if he and the Broncos chose to keep a guy like Joe Flacco past 2019 and had Drew Lock sit even longer, but that was never going to happen. They drafted Lock to be their future.

The Broncos simply improved throughout the last five games of the 2019 season. Coincidentally (or not), those five games are the games that Drew Lock started and showed up.

This team got better throughout the season in many ways, including the offensive line and the firing of Rich Scangarello, paired with the arrival of Lock.

Denver has had some stellar draft classes over the last couple of years, as well as undrafted free agent signings. I feel like the Broncos are well on their way to becoming a very strong team. It’s going to take some time, and there will be bumps and bruises.

But the latest draft consisted of some playmakers to help out Drew Lock and that is going to play a very important role in the success of the team, therefore I do not believe Fangio is going anywhere.
