CB6: Davontae Harris

Because of the way things went in the 2019 season, the Denver Broncos were able to audition a number of young cornerbacks for jobs in 2020.

One of those players was Davontae Harris, a player who was once an FCS All-American at Illinois State before he was picked in the fifth round of the 2018 NFL Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals.

Harris started six games for the Broncos in 2019, starting in the team’s shutout victory over the Tennessee Titans. He was taken out of the starting lineup late in the season, however, after the Broncos’ 20-3 loss against the Buffalo Bills.

Predominantly Orange writer and Locked on Broncos host Cody Roark does a nice in-depth film review of Harris on YouTube, a must-watch for Broncos fans wanting to gain an understanding of what the coaching staff could be looking at with this young player.

Harris has size, speed, strength, quickness, special teams ability, and potentially some versatility to play a Will Parks kind of role for the Broncos in 2020.

This job is going to be an interesting one to watch considering the Broncos cycled between Harris and Isaac Yiadom at the end of the 2020 season, but right now I think the edge goes to Harris.
