Week 13 at Kansas City Chiefs

The defending champs have to appear on this list.

The Broncos and Chiefs will play in Denver in Week 7, so the Broncos will have their chance to end their nine-game losing streak to the Chiefs before they meet again in Week 13.

But the Week 13 game is the much more intriguing of the two.

For one, it’s at Arrowhead Stadium, one of the loudest and toughest places to get a win in the league. For two, the game will take place in front of a national audience on Sunday Night Football.

This appears to be the toughest game on the Broncos’ schedule. The Chiefs are in prime position to contend for the Super Bowl again and they have owned the Broncos, who have not beaten them since the Peyton Manning days.

If Lock and company are to pull this off, the Broncos should be able to announce themselves as being back to the team most fans expect from them year in and year out. If you talk to most Chiefs fans, they have likely already chalked this up as a victory for their team.

And who can blame them? They have Patrick Mahomes, the best quarterback in the league. They have Hill and Travis Kelce. They have Damien Williams and first-round pick Clyde Edwards-Helaire.

The Chiefs are still loaded. But the Broncos are becoming that way and it appears that the Broncos are much more equipped to beat the Chiefs than they were a season ago, where they scored a total of nine points in two games against them.

If the Broncos are ever going to get back to being a championship contender, the Chiefs are the major hurdle that they have to find a way to overcome.
