Denver Broncos Schedule: 5 most intriguing games on 2020 slate
Week 5 at New England Patriots
We go from Brady’s new team to his old team. The Patriots are going to be an intriguing matchup this year just because of the questions surrounding what kind of team they will turn into.
Has the dynasty finally crumbled? Following last season’s early playoff exit and the fact that Brady left, it sure seems that it has. But can you really bet against Bill Belichick and this organization to be down for long?
This is one of those games that would have benefitted the Broncos had it come later in the year. The fact that it takes place in Week 5 makes it very interesting.
Gillette Stadium has long been one of the toughest places in the league to get a victory. If Drew Lock can pull off going in there and winning a game on the road against a team that has been good for so long, he might get a long-term stamp of approval from fans and the organization.
But that will be easier said than done. The Broncos have lost their last five games in New England and haven’t won there since the 2006 season. It seems like there is plenty of things working against them.
But of course, with Brady no longer around, those things may not matter.
Jarrett Stidham is currently set to be the team’s starting quarterback. The Patriots could either be a really bad team or one of those scrappy, resourceful teams that just finds a way to win. With Belichick, it’s safe to bet on the latter.
