Broncos schedule 2020: Predicting all 16 matchups
By Tylor Walden
Week 8: at New England Patriots
Told you the Broncos would need all the rest they can get.
Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots await the Broncos after their bye week. While Bellichick does not have Brady anymore, it can still be a tough game to win.
Denver has not played the Patriots in which Brady wasn’t the starter since 2008. But even without Brady, Belichick had Matt Cassel. And that was all he needed. New England would go on to thrash Denver 41-7 that day.
For the Patriots, Jarrett Stidham is likely going to be the starting quarterback for this game. He was a fourth-round pick last season and will look to take over for a team that had been led by the same quarterback for the majority of two decades.
As of lately, the Patriots have been working on the defensive side of the football. This game could very well be a defensive battle if Belichick has a solid game plan for Lock.
It is going to be very strange facing off against the Patriots without Brady on the sidelines. But perhaps this gives Denver a shot to winning this game. But I am not holding my breath for any reason.
