Broncos schedule 2020: Predicting all 16 matchups
By Tylor Walden
Week 7: Bye Week
I have the Broncos taking their bye week close to the halfway point of the season. Had the Broncos vs. Falcons game happened in London, the bye would have happened in Week 5. I am not a fan of early bye weeks.
The reason being that with such a long season, having a bye week at the earliest in the middle of the season helps prevent injuries. Then again, some teams having the early bye cannot be helped since there are a certain number of NFL games that need to be played.
But having the bye in Week 7 will provide some much-needed rest. Having the team at nearly full strength with 10 more games to go in the season can help out, especially if they have not played a Thursday night game yet.
So far in the predictions, the Broncos have played two divisional opponents, two NFC opponents, and two AFC East opponents. Not a bad schedule to start out. Having the Saints early will determine how the rest of the season can go.
However, two more meetings with Patrick Mahomes and a meeting with Tom Brady still await. The bye week comes at a perfect time especially with who awaits after the bye.
