Broncos schedule 2020: Predicting all 16 matchups
By Tylor Walden
Week 5: at New York Jets
The Denver Broncos continue their two-game mini east coast road trip as they face off against the New York Jets. This will mark the first game of back-to-back years of playing on the road at Metlife Stadium. In 2021, the Broncos will face the New York Giants at Metlife.
The Broncos and Jets faced off in 2018, where Sam Darnold and the Jets offense exploded for a 34-16 victory. Among the big playmakers in that game was Isaiah Crowell, who carried the ball 15 times but got a whopping 219 yards, which averaged to 14.6 yards every time he touched the ball.
Robby Anderson, whom the Broncos were linked to this offseason, had only three catches. However, it resulted in 123 yards and two touchdowns.
The Jets first two touchdowns came on plays of 77 and 76 yards. Safe to say the big plays ended up hurting the Broncos’ chances of winning the game. From the first touchdown the Broncos scored until the end, it was just a painful showing.
Hopefully, it will be different this time around. Both teams have young quarterbacks and have appeared to make a few moves that will increase their offensive production. Broncos Country is hoping Lock can win the battle against Darnold.
