Broncos schedule 2020: Predicting all 16 matchups
By Tylor Walden
Week 17 – vs. Kansas City Chiefs
When it comes to the final game of the season, divisional games are the ones that always happen. In recent history, the team the Broncos play rotates. In Vance Joseph’s final year, it was the Los Angeles Chargers. Last year was the Raiders. That means Kansas City should be the season finale this year.
It is also almost tradition that the Broncos play their final game of the year at home. Denver has never closed the season on the road since they played the Raiders in 2013. It could happen here, but then again, it may not.
Either way, this game could determine the division if it gets to that point. Having another matchup between Drew Lock and Patrick Mahomes will be fun to witness. In fact, it will be the first time Drew Lock faces the Chiefs at home. Joe Flacco was the starter in the last home game against the team from Missouri.
If both teams are close in the standings and are vying for that divisional title, this would be a great way to close out the season. It feel just like a playoff game.
Get used to Lock vs. Mahomes. It could be the next quarterback battle that happens for a long time.
