Broncos schedule 2020: Predicting all 16 matchups
By Tylor Walden
Week 16 – vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The final NFC clash for the Denver Broncos will have a lot of familiar faces. And with Week 16 normally the week where the playoff picture gets clearer, an AFC vs. NFC showdown could help propel these teams to the playoffs. It could be like a playoff game.
It has been a while, but the last time these two teams met, it was supposed to be a somewhat beginning for a certain quarterback from Memphis after Trevor Siemian went down due to injury. What has changed as well is that Jameis Winston is no longer the quarterback under center for the Bucs.
Starting for the Bucs this year is none other than Tom Brady. Yes, unless you were living under a rock, Brady is now in Tampa. Not only that, but Rob Gronkowski has come out of retirement to team up with Brady. The Broncos defense will have their hands full with both of them.
Also, this will serve as a reunion as Shaquil Barrett is set to meet the Broncos for the first time since he left in free agency. Looking to start elsewhere, Barrett joined the Bucs last season and did he ever prove his claim of starting.
Barrett recorded 19.5 sacks last season! That is almost unheard of in the league today. The offensive line of Denver will sure have their work cut out for them.
This should be an exciting matchup. If they end up having it late in the season, big time playoff implications.
