Noah Fant

The Broncos have one tight end on the roster who is guaranteed to make the team and that is Fant, last year’s first-round pick.

Many Broncos fans were less than thrilled when the team traded out of the No. 10 slot last year, giving up the chance to select linebacker Devin Bush. Dropping down to No. 20, the team took Fant, a talented prospect, but a tight end in the first round was questionable.

The trade did help the Broncos land Drew Lock in the second round however and for that reason, fans have to like the deal for the most part now.

Fant’s rookie campaign started slowly as he had only nine catches during the first month of the season. But in a win over the Cleveland Browns, he showed what made him such a high draft pick on this impressive 75-yard touchdown catch.

Not many tight ends in the league have that kind of speed and breakaway ability.

Fant finished his rookie season with 40 receptions and based on the way he started to get rolling toward the end of the season, hopes will be high for him in 2020.

He will be the No.1 tight end for this team for the foreseeable future and fans should be thrilled that the team has this kind of weapon at a position that you can really take advantage of some great mismatches.
