Cornerbacks

Bryce Callahan, A.J. Bouye, De’Vante Bausby, Michael Ojemudia, Isaac Yiadom, Duke Dawson, Davontae Harris, Essang Bassey (8)

The starting cornerback position is going to look much different for the Denver Broncos in 2020.

Chris Harris has moved on to the Los Angeles Chargers. Bryce Callahan will get to finally play a game for the team in 2020 after missing the 2019 season with a foot injury.

Denver traded for A.J. Bouye from the Jacksonville Jaguars, filling out their starting cornerback roles. That move made it obvious that Harris Jr. would not return to the Broncos.

The Broncos will also get De’Vante Bausby back in 2020 after he was re-signed in March. Bausby missed eleven games for the Broncos in 2019 but showed a lot of promise prior to the injury. I can absolutely see him competing for the third cornerback spot.

Denver drafted Michael Ojemudia in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft. He’s a physical cornerback who recorded six interceptions in his final two seasons at Iowa. The hope is that he can catch on as a starter.

Essang Bassey was signed by the Broncos following the draft and could be an undrafted free agent the Broncos will keep on the roster. He recorded 227 tackles in college, as well as five interceptions.
