Douglas Coleman, safety, Texas Tech

A four-year player for Texas Tech, Coleman burst onto the scene his senior season with a whopping eight interceptions.

In case you were wondering — yes, he was a captain for the Red Raiders.

Coleman is listed at 6-feet, 204 pounds, so he has plenty of size to hold up in the NFL at the safety position already. He was a first-team All-Big 12 selection with his eight interceptions this past season, a number of which found him after being tipped.

Still, to intercept eight passes is not easy, and Coleman never went a single season at Texas Tech without picking off a pass. He finished with 11 interceptions total.

The Broncos lost Will Parks in free agency but obviously feel pretty good about their current safety group led by Justin Simmons, Kareem Jackson, and another former undrafted player Trey Marshall.

Coleman might have one of the cleanest routes to the roster in terms of the position group he plays with and the unknowns of everyone behind Simmons and Jackson.
