Isaac Yiadom

By selecting Michael Ojemudia in the third round, the Broncos seem as though they will try some different options in the secondary this season. The big wild card in this group is Bryce Callahan, who missed all of last season with an injury.

We know that A.J. Bouye is gong to be the team’s No. 1 cornerback and Callahan should be the slot guy, so who lines up on the outside most often? Ojemudia should have a chance to steal some snaps from both De’Vante Bausby and Isaac Yiadom.

Bausby was re-signed this offseason and showed promise last year before a scary injury ended his season. That is why his name is on this list.

So why is Yiadom here? Well, if you have seen him play, you know that he just hasn’t been very good.

In two seasons with the team, Yiadom has 63 tackles and one interception.

In his second season with the team last year, Yiadom played on only 47.5 percent of the team’s defensive snaps, according to Pro Football Reference. The former third-round pick was on the field less than half the time.

It’s possible that Yiadom will turn the corner this year and use the experience he has gained to turn into the corner the team envisioned him being when it selected him No. 99 overall in 2018. But it’s just as plausible that the Broncos have already had their fill of this guy and Ojemudia is going to see much more action than him.
