With the 2020 NFL draft now official and team rosters full, we can start to assess how each team’s roster will take shape this coming season.

The Denver Broncos added several players on both sides of the ball that many feel will have a chance to come in and be big contributors as rookies. Of course, for that to happen, someone will have to take a step back.

Though the goal every team has when each season starts is to outlast all 31 other teams to claim the Lombardi Trophy, the first battle starts within with players battling their teammates for roster spots and playing time.

As members of the Broncos sat back and watched the draft last Thursday through Saturday, a handful of players knew that some of the players coming onto the roster would be direct competition. When you’re an underperforming part of a team and that team uses a first-round pick on a player at the same position, it’s time to step up or look for work elsewhere.

This is not to say that the names that will be revealed on this list are in jeopardy of losing their jobs, but it does mean that these players were directly impacted by at least one of the players chosen in this draft.

At the very least, these five players will have to prove their worth this coming summer.
