Cornerbacks

This will only be the 100th time I mention some of these guys.

Logan Ryan, Titans

Logan Ryan did a little bit of everything for the Titans this past season, including putting the punctuation mark on Tom Brady’s career with the Patriots in the playoffs.

Ryan has been an underrated player for a while now, and certainly would bring a veteran presence to the defensive backfield. He can play inside or outside, he can blitz, and he creates a lot of turnovers.

Darqueze Dennard, Bengals/Jaguars

Dennard had a three-year contract that was very team-friendly lined up with the Jaguars earlier this offseason, but he decided he didn’t like it (or the fit) enough to actually go through with it.

He’s been on the market for a while now and is a very good slot cornerback. The Broncos would have his inside-outside versatility to go along with Bryce Callahan. If the team is concerned about Callahan, they shouldn’t putz around and wait. They need to make a play for a veteran corner to go along with their youth.

Eli Apple, Saints

Apple is just 24 years old and was the 10th overall pick of the 2016 NFL Draft. If you’re banking on a coaching staff reviving his career, why not the Broncos and Vic Fangio?

It would be an added bonus if the Broncos could revive Apple’s career especially after his deal with the Las Vegas Raiders fell through earlier this offseason.

His youth and upside are very intriguing and attractive.

Prince Amukamara, Bears

Amukamara could be signed as somewhat of a player-coach who has experience in the Vic Fangio defense.

The oldest player of this group, it would be somewhat surprising if the Broncos signed Amukamara after being able to do so for the last two months, but you never know and he does have ties to the coaching staff.
