The Denver Broncos have the 2020 NFL Draft in the rearview, but is John Elway done tinkering with the roster? Here are free agents to consider.

The 2020 NFL Draft has come and gone, which is somewhat shocking to say given how the 2020 offseason, in general, was feeling like a grueling marathon just a couple of months ago.

The Broncos’ roster is pretty well formed, but there are still question areas on the roster. With roughly $4 million in 2020 cap space (top 51 contracts) going to the 2020 draft class, the Broncos have almost $14 million of space to work with. That number could grow if Justin Simmons signs a new contract and the team works out a lower year-one cap hit than the $11.4 million he’s currently slated to count against the cap.

The point is, the Broncos have cap space available and there are some quality free agents still on the market after the draft. Now, these free agent signings will not count against the compensatory draft pick formula for the 2021 draft.

There’s certainly no need for the Broncos to go out and blow all their remaining cap space, but they also don’t need to turn their nose at a chance to upgrade the roster.

Let’s look at some free agents who could be helpful now that the 2020 draft is finished and free agents no longer count against the 2021 compensatory formula.
