Broncos Day 3 2020 mock draft: Focus shifts to defense
By Tylor Walden
Trevis Gipson
The Denver Broncos use their final draft selection on the defensive side of the football. With the futures of Shelby Harris and Mike Purcell in question (they are in Denver on one year deals) it would be smart of John Elway to find a some defensive line help. The team was able to draft McTelvin Agim as the interior guy.
Trevis Gipson could help fill the end of the defensive line. While he does come from a non Power Five school, he made his presence known during his time as a Tulsa Golden Hurricane defensive end.
Most experts have him as a raw prospect that still has a lot to learn regarding his fundamentals of the game. But he also has been tagged as a potential diamond in the rough. And we all know how good John Elway has been in finding those types of players.
It might take some time for the Denver Broncos to get him to where he is NFL ready. But once he gets to that time where he can wreck it on the defensive side of the football, there will be no doubting that Trevis Gipson will be a special talent for the Broncos defensively.
