OT Lucas Niang, TCU

Depending on who you ask, the offensive line is a huge concern for the Denver Broncos. Some would say they have glaring holes at both tackle spots and one interior offensive line spot. I, however, tend to disagree. There is definitely room for improvement, but the offensive line really came along nicely towards the end of last season after working with top offensive line coach Mike Munchak and playing with a more mobile quarterback in Drew Lock.

This is why I feel like the Denver Broncos will wait until the third round to solidify the offensive line.

With pick 83, the Denver Broncos should take a flier on a guy like Lucas Niang out of TCU if he still on the board.

Niang has prototypical NFL tackle size at 6’6” and 315 pounds and is a former three-year starter for the Horned Frogs, so the experience is there. He is strong, athletic, and an above-average run and pass blocker. The reasons he is likely to fall is his injury history (he missed the end of last season with a torn labrum) and concerns about his body structure.

While the Denver Broncos have been burned by injuries recently, in the middle of the third round is a great chance to take a guy who could solidify the depth of the tackle position and possibly take over for Garrett Bolles if he doesn’t improve in year four.
