Day three picks

Hakeem Adeniji has been one of my guys from the beginning of mock draft season, I can’t abandon him now.

He makes so much sense for the Broncos.

With his ability to be a swing tackle or full-time starter on the interior line in the NFL, Adeniji is a player I think Mike Munchak can mold into whatever he wants.

Want to groom him as the heir apparent to Garett Bolles? Try it out. Want to have him snap and play center? I think he can do that, too.

Adeniji took some snaps in college at center in practices and is viewed as a player who could easily transition inside at the next level with his quick feet, girth, and quickness.

Although I’m not sure the Broncos and I are in agreement about their need for depth and help off the edge, you can certainly never have too many pass rushers in the NFL.

Derrek Tuszka is quick off the snap and plays with the type of mean streak that will endear him to a coach like Vic Fangio.

Although you don’t always expect day three picks to come in and make an instant impact, Tuszka has the type of hand strength, natural instinct, and legit NFL athleticism to be a Maxx Crosby type of day three selection.

A few months ago, this would have been a near-impossible scenario to predict or believe at all.

Biadasz was once considered a first-round prospect, but apparently he has some injury concerns (shoulder) and scouts didn’t like his 2019 tape nearly as much as his 2018 tape.

That could have been a direct correlation to the shoulder, but nobody knows for sure.

One way or another, if the Broncos took Biadasz anywhere on day three, I think I would be thrilled. To me, he profiles as a day one starter at center.

Although opinions are all over the board with Vildor (some have him as a 4th-round guy, others a 7th) he would be a tremendous fit for the Broncos on day three in any of those rounds.

Team captain? Check. Big personality and great team player? Check.

This guy is aggressive and I think he can play inside-outside in the NFL. If the Broncos were able to land both Vildor and Amik Robertson, it would be amazing.

At the back end of the seventh round, take a shot. Take a shot on a tremendous athlete and/or special teams player.

Jason Huntley could be both.

A smaller back at 5-foot-8, 184 pounds, Huntley was a dynamic kickoff returner at New Mexico State with five return touchdowns. He led his team in rushing in 2019 and also proved his worth out of the backfield as a receiver with 134 career receptions.

This kid is a player and some like him as a top 150 talent.
