As we count down the final hours before the 2020 NFL draft, we take a look at what the Denver Broncos should do if the decision has been made not to take a wide receiver in the first round.

A popular opinion is that the Broncos will take a wide receiver in the first round with the No. 15 overall pick and there are even those fans who are of the opinion that the team should even trade up in the first round if it means landing Jerry Jeudy, Henry Ruggs or CeeDee Lamb.

But there are those that sit on the side of there being incredible depth at the wide receiver position and hoping for the team to see that and draft someone at a position of a different need.

That’s what we’ll talk about here.

If the Broncos don’t take a wide receiver, what should they do? The team obviously has some other needs and it could fill one of those needs in the first round and target the wide receiver position in the second round or even later.

What other areas would the team or should the team consider targeting in the first round? Here, those other positions of need will be ranked in terms of importance based on what the team currently has on its roster, in descending order.

Will you hear a player’s name at one of these positions called with the No. 15 pick on Thursday night? Soon, we will all find out.
