3. One of the big three

Ultimately, and this may be the most likely trade up scenario, it would be surprising if the Broncos didn’t come away with one of the players considered to be the ‘big three’ at wide receiver in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Those big three receivers are:

Jerry Jeudy, Alabama

Jeudy won the Biletnikoff Award as a sophomore in 2018 and is one of the most explosive playmakers in the 2020 NFL Draft and undeniably the best route runner.

His speed and explosiveness are underrated because of how crafty he is in short areas, but this is a guy who can turn on the Jets. He might be the best all-around receiver of this bunch.

Henry Ruggs III, Alabama

Tough and blazing fast, Henry Ruggs III is a player in the mold of a Tyreek Hill who can absolutely turn any play into a touchdown.

As a matter of fact, he scored a touchdown one out of every four touches at Alabama, and truthfully one out of every four receptions as his lone ‘rushing’ touchdown came on a backward pass.

Ruggs is a dynamic playmaker whose ability to run routes and destroy man coverage would give the Broncos an element of speed that is sorely missing from the offense right now.

CeeDee Lamb, Oklahoma

Lamb is often considered the WR1 in this draft for his combination of toughness, footwork, explosiveness, and strong hands.

As a matter of fact, he has the best hands of the big three.

Lamb doesn’t have the speed of either Ruggs or Jeudy, but he’s quite possibly the best after the catch with his vision and ability to explode through contact and play like he’s a 230-pound running back.

There’s no doubt about it — getting any one of these three guys would instantly legitimize the Denver offense as a threat.
