30th Overall (Packers) – Isaiah Wilson, OT, Georgia
Pick made by Cameron Parker – Contributor
The most logical scenario may be to address wide receiver with their first-round pick, but at the same time, it may be wise to fix the offensive line while Aaron Rodgers is still there. Isaiah Wilson has garnered a lot of steam lately as a potential first-round pick.
Wilson is a big strong mauler at tackle that moves well and can potentially do well at right tackle to replace Bryan Bulaga. Bulaga moved on elsewhere to be with the Chargers. Wilson is very athletic to be a strong physical presence on the line.
He can help in a run game with Aaron Jones and Jamal Williams. Meanwhile, his good feet and better hands can help make up for being potentially beat. Wilson will need to turn his inconsistencies to consistencies.
This was an opportunity and risk pick for the Green Bay Packers. One of the other choices can very well be quarterback to find the replacement for Rodgers to create consistency at that position like Favre before Rodgers.
The Packers do need a wide receiver opposite of Davante Adams and very well could have targeted Jalen Reagor/Brandon Aiyuk in this mock but they felt it was necessary to address the line to keep Rodgers upright at this point in his career.
