There was a run of wide receivers in our NFL Mock Draft. Denzel Mims is considered a Broncos target but with other players gone they were heavily interested, they decided for CJ Henderson. This moved Mims over to the Minnesota Vikings as a solid option for a team primed to get a replacement for Stefon Diggs.

Mims is not the route runner Diggs was coming out of college. There is still polishing needed and a chance to get better. What Mims does bring is a wideout that helps out a quarterback with his catch radius. Due to his exceptional hands, Mims offers a huge window to catch passes. This gives the Vikings a red zone threat and a weapon between the 20s on the field. He is a long strider that can create, but Mims has the potential to be special at the next level.

Demaryius Thomas is a comparison of Mims coming out of college. This is not a Thomas version in the NFL, but rather a player that worked his tail off with work ethic to be exceptional well-rounded wide receiver in the NFL. Due to the fact that Gary Kubiak is the offensive coordinator in Minnesota, does he take that chance on a possible Thomas clone? Hard to say, but for this mock draft, it was hard to pass up.
