16th pick (Falcons) – Patrick Queen, LB, LSU

The Atlanta Falcons should be considered a very real threat to move up in the 2020 NFL Draft for this exact reason.

The top DL are off the board. The top CBs are off the board.

Not that Patrick Queen is a bad player or would be a bad pick for them, but the Falcons have invested so much on offense that they need a couple of studs for their defense in this draft, particularly at DL or CB, and they probably won’t get that staying at 16.

Don’t be shocked if they make a huge jump up the draft board this year.

With that said, Patrick Queen is no slouch as a linebacker. He is a true three down presence who can not only blitz but cover backs and tight ends.

He has outstanding speed and athletic ability and was one of the most impressive players in LSU’s championship run in 2019.
