12th Overall (Raiders) – Henry Ruggs III, WR, Alabama

Alabama speedster Henry Ruggs III and the Las Vegas Raiders makes too much sense. The Raiders were linked to free-agent deep threat Robbie Anderson leading up to the start of free agency but were unable to land the former New York Jet. Now, they get a wide receiver with even more potential in Henry Ruggs III to pair with either Derek Carr or Marcus Mariota.

While Ruggs sub-4.3 speed is what people think of first when they think of the former Crimson Tide standout, don’t sleep on his ability to be a complete and incredibly dynamic wide receiver. He is a smooth and crisp route runner with soft hands who is a threat to score a touchdown on any given play.

On 98 career college catches, he scored 24 receiving touchdowns. He also added another touchdown on one of his two career carries. Combined, that gives him an absurd 25% touchdown rate.

Adding Ruggs presents a huge upgrade over the likes of former Bills second-round pick Zay Jones aging players Tyrell Williams and Dwayne Harris, and it also puts a significant amount of pressure on AFC West defensive backs who have a plethora of top-flight wide receivers to deal with week in and week out.
