Aaron Parker, Rhode Island

We need a deep sleeper option on this list and here he is.

Aaron Parker played his college ball at Rhode Island, so naturally, he’s not going to get a ton of recognition leading into this draft. But that doesn’t mean he shouldn’t.

Parker has a background in basketball and at 6-foot-2 and 209 pounds, it shows up when you watch the film. He has terrific hands and a great ability to win on contested catches.

He had two big seasons for the Rams and last year as a senior, he caught 81 passes for 1,224 yards and nine touchdowns. He displays fantastic body control and just because he played at Rhode Island, does not mean that won’t translate over at the next level. In his case, it likely will.

He will also lend a hand as a run blocker, something he does at an above-average level. He ran a 4.57 40-yard dash at the combine and will also impress teams that are interested in his services with his catch radius.

If the Broncos could get this guy with their sixth-round pick (and maybe even in the seventh), it would be a win.

He projects as a hard-working, talented athlete who can become a highly productive player down the road with some refined skills. Some teams may see him as a slot receiver only, but his tape shows that he could win on the outside with his body control as well.

Parker is a developmental project to be sure, but one with a terrific potential ceiling.
