Patrick Morris is the team’s starting center at the moment basically by default, even if the team does have high hopes for him. The Broncos lost last year’s starter, Connor McGovern, after he signed a free-agent deal with the New York Jets.

Graham Glasgow, who can play center, is much more likely to play guard in his first season with the Broncos.

So that makes Morris the presumed starter, but the Broncos may elect to get another option on the roster. Guys like Lloyd Cushenberry and Tyler Biadasz are two guys who could fit the bill as second or third-round picks.

Cesar Ruiz and Matt Hennessy are two players the team could also consider.

If the Broncos were to select any of those guys, it would be likely that they would eventually overtake Morris on the depth chart and probably before the season started since the team would likely be using a pick in the first four rounds to get any of them.

Morris would still have a chance to make the roster as a rotational guy and someone that could step in if the Broncos needed someone to fill some snaps at center, but taking one of the names above could give the Broncos a good option at the center spot for the next decade.

That is something the team hasn’t had since the days of Tom Nalen. It could have been the case with Matt Paradis, but they let him get away as a free agent too.
