Third Round, Pick Two (95th Overall)

Terrell Burgess – Safety – Utah

With the departure of Will Parks, the Broncos are going to need some safety help. And with their final day two pick, the Broncos select Terrell Burgess. This is a player that can really help out on defense. Especially when it comes to the run game.

His ability to tackle in the open field and provide assistance to the defensive line when it comes to running the football can really help the defense go far. He can also cover very well in the passing game.

No matter how fast a player can be, he finds some way to catch up to them. And he does well in closing in toward where the ball is thrown even if he is covering a receiver. His skills as a safety are solid.

I would be interested, if the Broncos draft him, regarding him converting into a hybrid linebacker and safety. To me, it would make sense if he has that kind of skill as a run defender.
