First Round

CeeDee Lamb – WR – Oklahoma

The first playmaker for the Broncos is acquired. However, it took a little convincing for this pick to happen. With rumors that a trade between Denver and Cleveland could be in the works, I decided to give that a shot. And this was the proposed trade that the Browns decided to take.

Not too bad of a haul. With there being potentially three, maybe four, teams that could draft a wide receiver over the Broncos a trade was needed.

You could make an argument for the team to get Jerry Jeudy or Henry Ruggs III at this spot. CeeDee Lamb has one of the more well-rounded skillsets. That is not saying he is the fastest. There is certainly an argument as to why he is not. But his other skills involving his route running and his ability to go get the football are some selling points.

He also has a knack for forcing missed tackles as he is one of the top wideouts in this class that excels in that. And once he catches the football, he can add more yards after the catch. He can also be lined up in the slot and do even more damage.

He might not be everyone’s first selection, but he can be a big asset to the Broncos offense.
