The 2020 NFL draft is less than one week away and soon, all of the speculation of talk leading up to it can turn into reality.

For the Denver Broncos, there are several key holes on the roster, opening up the possibility for the team to use its first-round pick on many different positions including wide receiver, offensive tackle, linebacker or cornerback.

Much of the talk, particularly lately, has centered around the wide receiver position. Most analysts and fans seem to agree that the team should take a wide receiver with the No. 15 overall pick in the draft.

There are a few reasons why a wide receiver makes sense, but the main reason, which is discussed in detail here, would be to give Drew Lock as much support as possible as the future of the team.

The draft kicks off Thursday night and all of the first-round picks will be made. But there are still two more days and six more rounds to get through.

So what will the Broncos do in the second round? That is what will be outlined here.

The Broncos’ second-round selection, the No. 46 choice in the draft, is a spot in which the team could still find a great future talent in a deep class.

Will the team wait until the second round to get a wide receiver? Is there an offensive lineman that would bolster the current unit or can the team add a force in the middle of its defense with this pick.

Several options will be laid out here and all of these players could still be on the board when the Broncos go on the clock in the second round. That doesn’t mean these players will all be there, but the possibility does exist.
