All you have to do is look at that depth chart to realize that picking a wide receiver must be of utmost importance to the Jets. Have you even heard of most of those guys?

The Jets lost their former No.1 wide receiver, Robby Anderson, to free agency. Jamison Crowder is a good slot option and the team signed Breshad Perriman to replace Anderson.

Beyond that, there’s not much.

If the Jets want Sam Darnold to succeed as their quarterback, it’s time to give him a big name to throw the ball to. Even if the Jaguars select a wide receiver (assuming no other team has before that), the Jets would still have great choices in front of them.

A guy like Ruggs would more than replace the speed lost with Anderson’s departure and a guy like Jeudy or Lamb would give the Jets their most complete wide receiver since Keyshawn Johnson or even Al Toon.

With the first two teams listed here, you should sense a theme. There hasn’t been a game-changing wide receiver on either of those rosters for quite some time. How long can that continue to be the case?

In a draft this deep, teams like the Jags and Jets need to find that guy.
