3. Trade down again

If the Broncos can’t get one of the top three receivers with the 15th overall pick, which is entirely possible, their best option is probably going to be to trade down again.

As a matter of fact, this option is probably a lot higher on the list than three. Initially, I had it number one but I moved it down because taking Henderson or one of the top tackles at 15 would quite likely be a better option than trading down and accumulating picks because of the impact they would be capable of making compared to a player the Broncos would get in a trade down.

If the Broncos traded down, they could target someone like LSU wide receiver Justin Jefferson, Arizona State wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk, or Baylor wide receiver Denzel Mims.

They could accumulate assets in the 2020 and 2021 NFL Draft and maneuver around to get multiple second-round picks (which they might do anyway).

There are a lot of really exciting options if the Broncos trade down from the 15th spot, particularly if they are still able to get a playmaker at receiver in the process.

After the formula of trading down worked so well last year with Noah Fant, Dalton Risner, and Drew Lock, it’s hard not to view that as an ideal option for the Broncos anymore.
