1. CJ Henderson, cornerback, Florida

If the Broncos stick with the 15th overall pick and don’t take a wide receiver the best possible option would be Florida cornerback CJ Hendereson.

Besides wide receiver, cornerback is the top need on the Broncos’ roster right now in my opinion. The Broncos traded for AJ Bouye, but behind him there are a lot of question marks.

Will Bryce Callahan and/or De’Vante Bausby be back to form? Can Isaac Yiadom rebound? Do the Broncos have something in either Duke Dawson or Davontae Harris?

With Bouye having just two years on his contract, it’s worth wondering if the Broncos should prioritize cornerback in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft anyway.

At any rate, the likelihood of Henderson — the CB2 in this draft behind Ohio State’s Jeffrey Okudah — being there with the 15th overall pick is diminishing seemingly by the hour.

Henderson seems like a lock for the top 10 picks, but if for some reason he’s on the board at 15, he would be the ideal non-WR option for the Broncos as an elite cover corner. His tackling issues have certainly been well-documented, but in my opinion, they are overblown as far as his overall draft stock.
